Based on Material Characteristics

For free-flowing dry powders or plastic granules, a standard screw feeder is sufficient. For powders prone to arching or with poor flowability, it is recommended to equip the hopper with a vibration motor to ensure smooth material entry into the screw tube.

Capacity & Height Matching

Clearly define the required hourly conveying volume (kg/h or m³/h) and the target equipment's inlet height. The higher the lifting height, the greater the required motor power. When selecting, always follow the principle of "choosing a larger capacity over a smaller one" to ensure conveying efficiency.

Material Selection Based on Hygiene Standards

Carbon steel can be used for general chemicals or building materials to reduce costs. For food, pharmaceuticals, seasonings, and fine chemicals, full 304 or 316L stainless steel is mandatory to ensure production safety and compliance.

Installation & Maintenance

Installation Standards

The equipment is non-foundation fixed and can be placed on a flat surface. Inlet and outlet ports can be connected to supporting equipment via flanges or soft connections. Ensure all pipe sections are tightly connected during installation to prevent powder leakage.

Daily Maintenance

Featuring quick-release clamps or flange connections, disassembly is extremely convenient. Regularly open the bottom door of the barrel to clean internal residues and prevent cross-contamination. Periodically check the fasteners and lubrication of the gear and vibration motors.

Operation Precautions

Check for foreign objects inside the casing before startup; never insert hands or tools into the inlet during operation; stop feeding before shutdown, and only turn off the power after the materials inside the tube are completely discharged. Never force a restart under load.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What is the difference between a screw feeder and a vacuum feeder?

A screw feeder uses mechanical screw pushing, resulting in extremely low energy consumption (about one-third of a vacuum feeder) and no need for frequent filter cleaning. It is ideal for high-capacity, continuous powder/granule lifting. A vacuum feeder relies on negative pressure airflow, suitable for ultra-fine dust or short-distance, intermittent suction operations.

Q2: Can the equipment convey materials at any inclined angle?

Yes. The standard inclination angle is 45°, but we support customization between 30° and 60° depending on factory height and space constraints. Note that the steeper the angle, the more obvious the gravity fallback of the material, which will correspondingly reduce the actual conveying efficiency.

Q3: What should be done if the material is highly viscous and prone to blockage?

For viscous materials, we recommend the following measures: First, equip the hopper with a vibration motor to assist feeding through high-frequency vibration. Second, apply mirror polishing to the screw blades and inner walls to reduce the friction coefficient. Third, for materials extremely prone to wrapping, a shaftless screw feeder can be directly selected.
