For simple insulation or mild heating (e.g., condensation prevention), standard jacketed heating screws are suitable. For deep drying or high-temperature thermal treatment (e.g., mineral calcination over 800℃), hollow shaft electric heating (Joule effect) or double-shaft heating mixers are recommended.

Based on Material Characteristics

For free-flowing, non-sticky dry powders (e.g., cement, fly ash), select shafted tubular or U-type heating screws. For high-viscosity, easily tangled wet materials (e.g., sludge, food waste), a shaftless heating screw with anti-stick liners is highly recommended.

Heating Medium & Material Confirmation

Determine the heating method based on on-site heat source availability (steam, thermal oil, or electricity). The inner tube and screw body should be selected in carbon steel or 304/316L stainless steel based on the material's corrosiveness.

Installation & Maintenance

Installation Standards

The equipment must be installed smoothly on a solid foundation. High-temperature gaskets must be used at heating medium inlet/outlet connections, followed by strict pressure testing to ensure no leakage. The external insulation layer must be tightly wrapped.

Daily Maintenance

The heating medium must be supplied for preheating before startup; cold-starting under full load is strictly prohibited. Regularly inspect the wear of rotary joints and seals to prevent heating medium leakage. Before shutdown, stop feeding first, and only turn off the heat source after the materials are completely discharged.

Fault Prevention

If the discharge temperature fails to meet standards, check the heating medium flow, temperature, and pipe scaling. In case of blockage, clear the materials through the cleaning door; never force a reverse run or restart under load to avoid damaging the reducer or screw blades.
